Ahead of the eagerly anticipated March congress of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), party stalwart and business mogul Evang. Comr. Evbie Andrew Okiemute, has thrown his weight behind calls for the return of Chief Lawrence Agbatutu as chairman of Ughelli North chapter of the party.
In a statement made available to newsmen over the weekend, the popular philanthropist and grassroot mobilizer stated that the goodwill the party currently enjoys across the local government is as a result of Agbatutu’s transparent and all inclusive style of leadership.
Evbie while appealing to stakeholders and leaders of the party to support the return of the party LGA boss, commended Agbatutu for ensuring that despite Ughelli North being one of the opposition stronghold, the PDP has remained the party of choice amongst the electorate.
He also called for the return of Mr. Lucky Ikporo, the ward 3/7 chairman, which is his own ward, stating that there is need for the ward chairman to continue the good works he has started.
Recall Evbie who upon his official registration with the party last year cleared the rent arrears, has always been a strong supporter of the party and through his EVBIE ANDREW FOUNDATION has left no stone unturned in seeing the PROSPERITY FOR ALL DELTANS as promised by his excellency Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa becomes reality especially in the lives of the Ughelli North people.
